Adoptia Braai 2017

We had our annual get together at Lizbe and John's house this year. The kids had a great time swimming, jumping, swinging, chasing each other, playing on the tractor etc!

Each child received a gift.

Special friends came all the way from Groblershoop to join us! It was lovely seeing the twins again!

The adults also had a good time connecting and chatting about issues. It's wonderful having a support group!

Adoptia Camp 2014

Our annual camp was once again at Camp Unity. The kids had a great time riding bikes, fishing, playing with the animals, playing cricket and generally just running around!

Our guest speakers were Dr Hettie de Jager, who spoke about the art of relationships, and Diane Ross, who spoke about how her biological mother tried to abort her but she was born at 26 weeks and then adopted.

There were quite a few babies this year and it was wonderful to see how the bigger kids looked after them and played with them and also how all the mommies looked after other mom's babies if they were busy!

The Dads enjoyed making fires and braaing!

We had a lovely relaxing time making new friends and catching up with old friends!

Adoptia 2013

 

Our annual Adoptia Camp was held at Camp Unity again. This year we had two guest speakers. Dricky Wessels spoke on the 7 critical stages of blessings and to change the trauma lies into God's truths for our lives and she also spoke to the older children alone. Rina Bredenkamp spoke about her daughter making contact with her biological mother and father. Both talks were inspiring, informative and a real blessing. Thank you Dricky and Rina.

Adoptia Camp 2012 - Camp Unity

We had a wonderful time at camp Unity this weekend! The kids had an amazing time and we had to drag them to bed after 10:30 every night! Thanks Zane and Minique for looking after them and entertaining them all weekend.

Moms, Dads and future Moms and Dads had a great time catching up, laughing and joking about!

The bonfires were great, especially cooking those marshmallows!

The kids had a wonderful time on the bikes. Sorry about the crash into your bakkie, Willie!
